POSITION TITLE: Senior Manager, Development - National Corporate Accounts
LOCATION: Flexible location, preference for one of the Per Scholas campus cities
REPORTS TO: SVP, Development (Corporate)
OVERVIEW:
You will play a key role on our national development team with responsibilities in corporate relations, corporate engagement, grant writing, and organizational storytelling for prospects and companies in our national funding portfolio.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Identify and research national corporate funding prospects to assess interest in providing long-term funding support across campuses or for national initiatives within budget (i.e. Career Accelerator, Vets in Tech, AI-Enabled Solutions, etc.), and collaborate with relevant staff to initiate contact.
- Support relationships with major national corporate funders providing support at levels of $100K-$5M.
- Synthesize national program information from program staff and Salesforce database to articulate goals, activities, anticipated outcomes, successes, challenges, etc. to corporate funders for national initiatives.
- Help prepare for and may attend funder meetings: developing meeting memos, drafting site visit agendas and coordinating among key participants (including Per Scholas staff, learners and alumni, and employer partners), documenting interactions in Salesforce (including detailed meeting notes) and supporting follow-up.
- Coordinating communications to funders after initial meetings and maintaining detailed notes on initial conversations for cross team collaboration.
- Continuously track and monitor opportunities, funder deadlines and deliverables, and ensure timely submissions of proposals and reports.
- Maintain detailed records of all conversations with potential funders in Salesforce.
- Coordinate with communications staff to publicize grants and other corporate engagement activities to advance philanthropic relationships.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO US:
Professional Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience) required
- 2-4 years of grant writing or general development experience
- Exceptional writing, editing, and copy editing skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills, both in person and online/by phone
- Proven research abilities, including gathering and interpreting data; funder prospecting experience desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Salesforce and Google Apps for Business (Docs, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Chat, etc.)
- Capacity to attend key external meetings as an organizational representative when needed

For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary range of $75,000-$90,000 where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including geography in which the selected candidate resides, and alignment with qualifications and experience.
