Job Overview

We are in search of a visionary and results-driven Vice President of Development who is dedicated to driving significant change and making a meaningful impact. As a crucial member of our leadership team, you will spearhead major gift and planned giving strategies, leading a talented cohort of Development Directors to secure transformative contributions of $100,000 and above, all while championing our mission to uplift vulnerable children and help them realize their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, reporting directly to the Chief Relationship Officer, you will:

Formulate and execute robust donor cultivation strategies to enhance major gift relationships.
Oversee and mentor Development Directors in the attainment of their objectives.
Design and implement a comprehensive major giving program centered on donor engagement and retention.
Develop innovative donor stewardship initiatives to forge impactful connections.
Conduct in-depth research on donor portfolios to identify and cultivate new prospects.
Monitor, assess, and communicate the effectiveness of fundraising efforts to the team.
Assist in preparing for the annual audit process.
Adjust strategies to leverage emerging opportunities effectively.
Facilitate international travel to support initiatives, including two annual trips to Zambia (lasting 7-14 days each) and additional weeks for summer programs.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline.
