The International Cinematographers Guild, Local 600 IATSE is the largest camera and publicist union in the world with over 10,000 members in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. We are a National Local of the International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees (IATSE). Applications are now being accepted for the exempt, confidential position of Director of Information Technology. This position reports to the National Director of Administration and will be based out of our National Office, located in Los Angeles, California.

SALARY: $125,000 to $140,000 annually, based on experience.

Role Description

The Director of Information Technology is responsible for managing the technology and team that supports the International Cinematographers Guild's (ICG's) business and mission. This role provides strategic direction and oversight for ICG's I.T. Infrastructure and Service Desk teams, focusing on maintaining and supporting Laptops & Desktops, Networks, Servers & Storage, and Cloud Operations. Additionally, this role ensures robust cybersecurity practices and oversees third-party vendors who develop and support ICG's website and eMembership application.

Essential Duties and Responsibility

- Oversee Infrastructure & Service Operations, including Desktop Support, Networks, Telephony, Servers, Storage, and Cloud Operations.
- Support the development of technology solutions and processes that provide highly successful end-user experiences.
- Identify & drive technology & process improvements across systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and architecture.
- Partner with third parties that develop, maintain, and support ICG's website and eMembership application; ensure that organizational needs are met and that resources are utilized effectively.
- Oversee International Cinematographers Guild's Cyber Security Program; implement risk-based methodologies to identify, evaluate, and prioritize risks; initiate regular vulnerability scans and security assessments to proactively identify issues or risks and ensure Senior Leadership is aware of potential risks.
- Assist with training International Cinematographers Guild personnel on cybersecurity trends, such as phishing and malware, and how to protect the organization and its members.
- Build and maintain a world-class I.T. Support team, leveraging internal talent and external partnerships; perform personnel management (e.g., hiring, training, supervising, evaluating, mentoring) to maintain essential staffing levels while building a culture of accountability & individual growth.
- Generate and maintain hardware life cycle and asset inventories to inform Senior Leadership of budgeting and financial impact of essential and recommended spending.
- Recommend and promote best practices to better support end users & customers.
- Actively align the organization's strategic vision with the I.T. roadmap; communicate the I.T. strategy to internal stakeholders.
- Develop and implement processes and technologies to meet Incident Response and Business Continuity objectives for mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of IT experience, preferably in a leadership role involving increasing responsibilities.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong background in technology, including knowledge of ITIL or other service operations frameworks.
- Proven ability to build and improve internal and external relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and interact with all levels of the organization.
- Customer-service-oriented IT leadership experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work within the United States without employer sponsorship.

Skills

- Strong vendor management capabilities, including oversight of vendor-provided or vendor-managed solutions, applications, or website development.
- Proficiency in communicating complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
- Technical expertise in infrastructure areas such as servers, storage, networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, and service operations.
- Experience or familiarity with:
- Office 365
- Windows/Active Directory
- Palo Alto firewalls
- Cisco switches and routers
- VMware
- Software Development Lifecycle and related processes

Work Environment

The nature of International Cinematographers Guild Manufacturing's operations requires a regular onsite presence. Most of our business operations are conducted at our headquarters in Los Angeles, California, or our offices in Atlanta, Chicago, and New York City. An onsite presence is critical for interfacing with key business leaders, evaluating the performance of systems, applications, and technology, and coaching and mentoring the I.T. staff. As such, this role is expected to have a regular presence on-site four (4) days each week to support the business, its systems and technology, and the I.T. Team. As needed to support outages, migrations, upgrades, or other business initiatives, some evening or weekend work may occasionally be required.

Considerable work is conducted using telephone and computer technologies. Travel to other locations, including New York City, Atlanta, and Chicago, may be required, but it is expected to be less than 5%.

License and Physical Class:

A valid Driver’s License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
Ability to lift-up to 20 lbs.
