Employment Type: Part-Time Independent Contractor

Funding: Grant-funded position

Pay: $50,000-$53,000 annually

Contracted time: February 2025-February 2026 (12 month); possibility of annual renewal through 2027.

Reports To: Western Regional Program Director

Overview

Position Summary

We are seeking a Grants and Compliance Coordinator to assist with the pre and post-school grant and data collection for 2025-2026 school year supporting the following STM priority communities:

Los Angeles County
Orange County

The position involves assisting with data collection before and after STM school grants are made, helping to ensure effective delivery and implementation of the grants to schools, monitoring school compliance with STM’s grant requirements and working overall to effectively implement STM’s community-wide plans for Southern California. The contractor will collaborate closely with the Western Regional Program Director and other STM staff to produce and maintain timely, transparent, and accurate reports for STM funders and senior management.

Responsibilities

Manage data collection and compliance monitoring for Southern California funders.
Develop and utilize data visualizations to support grant monitoring and reporting.
Prepare data for regular reports to funders.
Track and report the following information:
- program participation
- student social-emotional learning outcomes
- teacher programmatic feedback – based on available school district data, teacher participant surveys, and annual program surveys.
Process and assess both qualitative and quantitative data collected from annual progress reports.
Work with the Western Regional Program Director and STM Development teams to maintain accountability in program operations.
Other research projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

Background in education, music education, or nonprofit program coordination.
Passion for music education and youth development especially in underserved communities.
Experience in grant management and compliance monitoring.
Experience in non-profit data collection.
Proficiency in Tableau or other data visualization software is a plus.
Strong organizational, communication and project management skills.
Familiarity with arts or education programs in Los Angeles County and Orange County is a plus.
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent demonstrated writing and editing skills; excellent verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Able to work both independently and within a team environment.
Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities and new opportunities
