JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a full time Executive Director to help support the Founder & CEO as a key member of senior leadership of a startup nonprofit organization with a growing brand and presence in the market. The Executive Director will be directly responsible for revenue production, working with the CEO, the Chief Development Officer, and the Corporate Partnerships Manager to secure the resources required to execute the org's mission (75%), and supported by the Head of Operations will be responsible for overseeing org administration, program execution and management, and contributing to strategic thought leadership (25%). The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience as a primary Development Officer at a nonprofit organization or Chief Revenue Officer at a commercial enterprise and a demonstrated record of growing the budget or revenues of a previous employer from $1m to $3m+. The position reports directly to the CEO. Wall Street Bound is a small and entrepreneurial nonprofit organization so it is important that the selected candidate is able to work and thrive in an unstructured work environment and brings a business mindset to the role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the CEO and the Chief Development Officer to develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy.
- Direct fundraising and revenue development responsibility with annual revenue targets and outreach KPIs.
- Use prospect research tools and your donor network to identify major gifts, foundation, government, and corporate donor prospects, and develop strategies to cultivate those relationships.

- Maintain consistent communications with donors and corporate partners, ensuring the fulfillment of contractual deliverables and timely reporting.
- Ensure effective systems to track progress vs growth targets, and regularly evaluate program components, measuring successes and challenges that can be effectively communicated to stakeholders.
- Supported by the CEO and Senior Leadership, responsible for the administration of operations, program delivery, fundraising, and execution of the strategic aims of the organization.
- Work with Senior Leadership and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through strategic planning.
- Responsible for the execution of WSB’s programs that carry out the organization’s mission.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Previous startup or small org or firm experience
- Three or more years nonprofit senior leadership experience
- Five or more years experience as the primary development officer at a nonprofit organization or as a Chief Revenue Officer at a commercial enterprise
- Tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing donor relationships over time
- A demonstrable track record of effectively leading and scaling a performance based organization and staff, growing the organization’s budget or revenues from $1m to $3m+
- Ability to construct, articulate, and implement annual strategic development plan
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and project management skills
- Solid organizational abilities, including planning, project management and financial management, including budget preparation, analysis, decision making and reporting
- Ability to work both independently without close oversight, and also as a team player who will take initiative, and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently
