Chief of Development
Our client, a non profit located in Tribeca, is currently looking for a new Chief of Development.
Job purpose
This role will create and lead a comprehensive development program that expands the level of philanthropic support and diversifies sources of funding to advance the organizational interests
Duties and responsibilities
Formulate and implement the strategic plan that guide development team.
Achieve the organization’s overall diversified revenue goals
Ensure the department’s fiscal accountability to budget parameters.
Evaluate the success of the development team efforts and provide quarterly updates.
Hire and train new development staff
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
At least 10 years of progressive fundraising professional responsibility at the leadership level.
Clear evidence of measurable fund-raising results with demonstrated ability to secure and cultivate major gifts & corporate sponsors.
Proven ability to hire and mentor development professionals.
Stature and integrity to work effectively with high-level business and not-for-profit leaders.
Knowledge of relevant technology and database management programs.
Comfortable with both domestic and international travel for high scale galas.
Exceptional communications and relationship-building skills.
This role is paying 230k-250k based on experience. This position is based on-site, in the office, 4 days a week.
