I am reaching out to share a terrific Head of Philanthropy position with a national nonprofit focused on improving the lives of students by empowering them with improved decision-making skills. The Head of Philanthropy will develop, launch and manage fundraising strategies to meet or exceed development goals. The position will also be responsible for expanding the donor base and diversifying funding sources. The Chief will be an active fundraiser, providing moves management for a portfolio of high level donors capable of giving 6+ figure gifts. This position will manage and mentor a team of four development professionals. This role currently operates on a hybrid schedule and is based in the Philadelphia area. Salary range gladly provided upon request.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the organization's fundraising efforts, including development and implementation of fundraising and donor engagement strategies
Develop strategies to diversify funding sources and increase the overall donor base
Provide moves management to a portfolio of high level major donors capable of giving 6- and 7-figure gifts
Establish metrics to evaluate fundraising efforts and report on progress
Utilize events to engage with prospects and current donors
Serve as a board liaison and collaborate closely with the Executive Director and Chair of the Board for Board of Directors fundraising efforts
Manage and mentor a development team of four

Qualifications:

10+ years of relevant fundraising experience, including time in a leadership role
Excellent relationship building skills and demonstrated track record of securing 6+ figure gifts
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop new strategies and approaches for fundraising
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on generating results
Interest or prior experience in a related topical area of education, behavioral science, or cognitive science is a plus
Ability to travel as needed
