Ir Amim is seeking a full-time (100%) Coordinator of International Public Outreach. As our International Public Outreach Coordinator, you will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with English-speaking communities in Jerusalem and abroad, serving as a bridge between Ir Amim's crucial work in Jerusalem and our international supporters and partners.
The coordinator will be responsible for sustained outreach, contact, and engagement with the English-speaking community locally and abroad. As part of their work, the coordinator will seek out opportunities for exposing more people to the topics that Ir Amim deals with, through in-person tours, by developing educational material for online sessions, and by periodically organizing webinars and in-person events on issues of relevance. The coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining and increasing our network of supporters.
This position is part of the International Relations Department and will work closely with the Department’s Director of International Relations and Advocacy and the English Social Media Coordinator. The role also includes close collaboration with the Public Education and Outreach Department.

Ir Amim (City of Nations/City of Peoples) is an Israeli non-profit which focuses exclusively on Jerusalem within the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Ir Amim’s mission is to render Jerusalem a more equitable and sustainable city for the Israelis and Palestinians who share it, while helping to advance conditions for an agreed political future and secure equal rights for all. Ir Amim envisions a city that ensures the dignity and welfare of all its residents and safeguards the human and civil rights of both Palestinians and Israelis, while upholding both peoples’ historic, religious, and political attachments to Jerusalem.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Cultivate existing and develop new partnerships with activist movements, anti-occupation, peace and human rights groups, and Jewish leadership organizations locally and abroad.
- Increase the reach of Ir Amim’s work and analysis by organizing in-person and online events directed at the English-speaking public, particularly on pressing issues within East Jerusalem. When necessary, moderate these events.
- Develop educational material in English based on Ir Amim’s work. Bolster outreach to groups, communities, and organizations interested in engaging in a learning process led by Ir Amim.
- Maintain consistent contact with Ir Amim’s supporters, including through a monthly newsletter received by our 3,000+ supporters and through personal outreach.
- Develop Ir Amim’s network of supporters by helping to manage the organization’s annual crowdfunding campaign, maintaining contact with the our private micro donors, and maintaining and updating our private donor database. Work closely with the Resource Development division.
- Oversee and regularly update Ir Amim’s English website.
- Provide editing and translation support for op/eds, reports and short documents from Hebrew to English.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Working experience with stewarding and developing partnerships and opportunities for collaboration.
- Initiative to reach out and form new connections; excellent interpersonal skills to manage and develop Ir Amim’s partnerships, and a strong belief in the potential of transformation through education.
- Familiarity and working experience with anti-occupation activist groups, organizations and Jewish communities locally and abroad.
- Ability and desire to learn quickly about the different issues that Ir Amim works on, the organization’s language, and, most importantly, the framing and presentation of topics.
- Mother-tongue English with exceptional writing, editing, communication, and public speaking skills.
- Ability to work independently, initiate projects and follow through, and capacity to work on different projects simultaneously. Ability to work together with other departments, including projects outside the strict responsibilities of the position.
- Working knowledge of Hebrew for light translation work and efficient communication with the Ir Amim team.
- Understanding and knowledge of the Israeli-Palestinian conflictand well-versed in human rights discourse.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Ir Amim.
